IT Administrator (m/f/d)

Airborn Studios is looking for a full-time IT Administration specialist to join our team! The position is full-time (38h/week), hybrid/remote work is possible.

About Airborn Studios

Airborn Studios is a Berlin-based company focused on the development and production of 2D and 3D Game Art. Our studio has contributed to projects such as Blizzard’s Overwatch, Epic Games’ Fortnite, Activision’s Crash Bandicoot 4, Riot Games’ Valorant and Project L, Microsoft’s Halo franchise. Additionally, we have received recognition for the visual design for Ori and the Blind Forest, earning a BAFTA, D.I.C.E. Award, Game Developers Choice Award, and several others.

About this role

Join an established creative game art studio in the heart of Berlin and take ownership of a modern, cloud-based IT infrastructure that supports both on-site and remote teams.

 

As IT Administrator, you’ll ensure our systems are secure, reliable, and scalable while continuously improving our cloud and workplace setup.

This role offers flexibility, responsibility, and the chance to shape the future of IT in a creative, international environment.

 

Your Responsibilities

 

  • Plan, manage, automate and develop our cloud infrastructure and workplace systems
  • Administer identity and access management, including SSO, MFA, and user groups
  • Coordinate hardware procurement and inventory with external partners and internal users
  • Manage endpoint security, including updates, patching, and monitoring
  • Collaborate on IT security, compliance, and data protection with internal and external experts
  • Create and maintain technical documentation (policies, workflows, architecture)

Your Qualifications & Skills

Your Profile

  • At least 3 years of experience in system administration or IT operations, ideally in a similar role
  • Solid understanding of identity management and access control
  • Good experience with network configuration, VPN, and endpoint management
  • Familiar with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
  • Awareness of IT security and data protection (GDPR) principles
  • Good English communication skills (German a plus)
  • Independent, structured way of working and enjoyment of process optimization
  • Residency in Germany

 

Nice to Have

  • Based in or willing to relocate to Berlin
  • Experience in Windows administration and Microsoft cloud environments
  • Experience integrating SaaS platforms and SSO solutions
  • Knowledge of database management (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL)
  • Familiarity with IT service and device management systems
  • Experience in hardware setup and customization
  • Understanding of incident response, auditing, or vulnerability management
