Epic Games
Fortnite
It’s only one of the biggest and most well-known games on the planet – and we got involved ‘before it was cool’.
Airborn Studios started contributing to Epic Games’ Fortnite in late 2016, working on outfits such as the Raptor and heads among other tasks.
The base game (now known as Fortnite: Save the World) was released in July 2017 – and would transform into the pop-culture juggernaut it is now with the addition of the Battle Royale a few months after its launch.

Character-work galore
Airborn Studios was around for all of that and got to do 3D work on many more assets, among them Fortnite classics such as Peely and Fishstick. Along with a ton of original characters, our team also contributed characters and gear based on other IPs and personalities, e.g. Ninja’s outfit and hair.
Along with character skins, Airborn Studios usually worked on the backpacks (proper Fortnite lingo: back blings) to go with those as well as a number of pickaxes and gliders.
Of Powerline Towers and Huts
For a while, our team was also involved in the environment pipeline of Fortnite. Our concept team, among other things, did exploration work for new map parts that would be introduced with seasonal events as well as specific level props such as the Shaman or Coral Cove huts. Many of which our level artists then got to do 3D work on as well.
